Caravan Checks While Off the Road

 

One of the things that you may want to bear in mind when using your caravan at any time during the off-season or when you are unable to go on the road is to carry out checks to make sure that your caravan is in top condition and that you don’t get any nasty surprises when on the road. Some caravan owners who have used their caravans for creative ideas such as creating a home office or home school for children have experienced issues such as faulty water pipes so a spot of caravan maintenance may be of use during the current downtime. A list of checks that you can make are as follows:

 

• Tyre pressure can be checked although this may not be an issue currently. It’s still a good idea to take a look in case you need to top up tyre pressure. 
• Test the water system by reconnecting all pipes, fill the tank with water and run it through to test for leaks. You may also want to consider sterilising with cleaning solution and leave for 12 hours before flushing and adding new liquid before filling with freshwater and replacing the filter. 
• Check your caravan for mould or signs of mildew that may have formed in or around your caravan during the off-season. If you are using your caravan then you will want to clean out any mould that may have formed.

 

1. Arrange a Movie Night With the Whole Family

 

A movie night is a perfect use for your caravan and is a lovely activity for all of your family to enjoy. You are able to set up a big projector or watch your favourite film on the big screen and the space that you have available to have an action-packed movie night.

From card games to board games, a games night is the perfect way to arrange for some friendly competitive fun with all of the family. Whether you are going to dare to play a game of monopoly, learn some more card games or play a more casual board game, the possibilities are endless when arranging your games night in your caravan.

 

3. Enjoy a Fantastic Meal in Your Caravan

 

Your caravan is a wonderful living space fully equipped with an amazing kitchen area. There are many people currently in the UK who are creating romantic meals for two or fantastic meals for all the family. Your caravan is the perfect place to designate a dining room space and have some fun with all of the family. You can even create a baking space or a place to create some new recipes that are a nice break from your kitchen space in your home.

 

4. Have Some Fun With Arts & Crafts or Get Creative

 

A creative and action-packed day may include carrying out arts & crafts as well as other art activities. As your caravan offers a vast amount of space, you are able to designate a dedicated area for drawing, colouring and painting.
